Tamannaah Bhatia was born on 21 December 1989 in Mumbai. Her father Mr.Santhosh, is a diamond merchant and mother Mrs. Rajani Bhatia is a domestic engineer. And, She has an elder brother named Anand. She had her schooling in SJR high School, Mumbai. later,She changed her screen name to Tamannaah according to numerology.

Tamannah Bhatia has been acting since the age of 13.  It was her  most memorable day when she got acting opportunity as a lead role. It happened at her school annual day function.
As we know,  Tamannaah Bhatia is one of the most popular contemporary Tollywood actresses. Especially, She works in Telugu and Tamil films. And, She has also appeared in a few Hindi films. Apart from acting, she also takes part in stage shows. As a brand endorser, she is doing assignments for some brands and products.

WhenTamannaah Bhatia was 15 years old, she debuted in the Bollywood film, ‘Chand Sa Roshan Chehra‘ In 2005. And also, appeared in Abhijeet Sawant album song “Lafzon main” released in the year 2005 before stepping into Telugu and Tamil industry. In the same year, Tamannaah made her Telugu film debut in ‘ Sri’, opposite Manchu Manoj, and the next year she appeared in her first Tamil movie, ‘Kedi’. In 2007, she acted in two films with college life back drop such as  ‘Happy Days’ in Telugu and ‘Kalloori’ in Tamil.

Tamannah acted in the Tamil films Ayan (2009), Paiyaa (2010), Sura (2010) and Siruthai (2011), Veeram (2014). And she was starred in Telugu films like  100% Love (2011), Racha (2012), Thadaka (2013), Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), Bengal Tiger (2015) and Oopiri (2016). Thus, these films enabled her to cement her position in Tollwood and Kollywood. Now, she is one of the sought- after actresses in Telugu and Tamil.

Tamannaah Bhatia has acted with star actors such as Ajith Kumar, Vijay, Surya, Karthi, Dhanush, Jayam Ravi, Arya, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Nagarjuna, Allu Arjun, Ramcharan, N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ravi Teja, Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh. Her remuneration for acting in the film is the highest in South Indian cinema.So far, Tamannah has acted nearly 50 films in three different languages- Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

 

Tamannaah got the Kalaimamani Award in 2010 from the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
