Indeed, Menen’s first appearance began as a child artist on screen. when she was ten, she got a chance to act in the Indian English language film. Nithya Menen was born in Bangalore and pursued journalism at the Manipal Institute of Communication. Initially, she wanted to become a journalist and was no way interested in films. Later, she realized that Current journalism is not so ideal as that of olden days. And then, she decided to launch herself in to films.

Subsequently, she chose to begin her career in cinematography and decided to join the related course at the FTII Pune. At the time of the entrance examination, she happened to meet the director, Nandini Reddy, who inspired her to take up acting. In 2006, her acting career started with the Kannada film ‘7 O’ Clock ‘as a lead role.

In, 2008 , Menen acted in the off-beat film directed byNational Film Award-winning director K. P. Kumaran. It was her Malayalam debut film alongside Mohanlal. And, Nithya Menen showcased an excellent performance in the movie. Though the movie failed at the box office , she got a critical appreciation.

Her next film ‘Josh’ in Kannada gave her a treat with success. In the film, she played a supporting role which brought her a name of good performer.

Later, Nithya appeared in her Telugu Debut film ‘Ala Modalaindi’ in 2011. Nandini Reddy directed the film. Again, it was a silent hit and she received critical acclaim for his performance.

Following that, Nithya Menen played princess in Santosh Sivan’s historical fiction’ Urumi’. Next, Nithya Menen appeared in the bilingual movie ‘180/Nootrenbadhu’. released in Tamil and Telugu. The film saw her as a photo journalist .

In 2012, Nithya Menen shared her screen space with Nitin in Telugu romance film’ Ishq’.
