She grew up in Bangalore and chose  a career in modelling before launching herself in to films. In 2010, She first acted in Kannada film,’ Porki’, a remake of Telugu film Pokiri. Subsequently, Pranitha  was cast in the Telugu film ‘Em Pillo Em Pillado’.Later, she debuted in the Tamil movie ‘Udhayan’released in 2011.Further, she proceeded to appear in many well-grossed  Telugu films like ‘Baava’released in 2010 and ‘Attarintiki Daredi’released in 2013.
